To pay tributes to the Year of the Tiger, I created this porcelain vase, hand-painted and finished with celadon glazing. Having trained in Chinese painting (工筆) as a child, I turned this curvy and fast-absorbing bisqued surface into my new canvas. It was a familiar yet fundamentally different process from drawing on paper.
